DDu3a has a reputation for holding remarkably efficient AGMs, with the necessary paperwork being circulated in advance, voting and any issues people want to raise submitted in writing prior to the meeting. This means we then have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the morning, so if official meetings aren’t your thing, don’t be put off.

After the formal AGM, Paul Isherwood will talk about his experience of how, as a 10 year old schoolboy, with a four year gambling addiction, he had a light-bulb-moment to seek help. Now, well into his fifties, he hasn't gambled ever since.

Tickets will go on sale at this meeting for the trip to the Chester Christmas Market on 16th December.

Citizens Advice will be available from 11am to 12noon in the Council Chamber offering advice to members on a variety of issues including schemes like the Winter Fuel Payment, Warm Home Discount and Cold Weather Payments. Or how to change energy suppliers, understand smart meters, navigate a consumer or neighbour issue. NB. If the Advisor is busy and doesn't have time to deal with your question fully, they will suggest alternative times and ways of receiving advice.
