Garden Growers

We focus on the practical aspects of growing all types of plants and vegetables with members sharing their expertise and knowledge. Each monthly meeting includes a discussion about previously agreed topics. Occasionally, we invite a speaker and open the meeting up to all members of the u3a.

The group holds an annual sale of plants grown in our gardens. Money raised from the sales is used to pay for visiting speakers and to cover the costs of room rental during the winter months.

The group meets in members' homes over the summer, enjoying a chat, a tour of the host's garden, a drink and often some cake. In the winter it meets in rented venues, with members sharing the room rental costs.
