Following two very successful Taster Sessions, we now have a Kurling Group Coordinator so can launch this Kurling Group, starting on Tuesday 5th May 2026!
Kurling is a gentle, indoor adaptation of the sport of curling, which has gained great popularity and success at the Winter Olympics. Unlike the heavy granite stones used on ice, the stones are made of plastic and run on stainless steel bearings, allowing them to glide across the sports hall floor.
It’s easy to learn and is perfect for all fitness levels, making it ideal for our u3a community. In the future, there may be the equipment so that you can even do it sitting down or with a special pushing stick if crouching is difficult for you.
