Please - only join online if you have never previously been a member. If you are returning to the u3a you may be able to Renew rather than Join. Contact the Membership Secretary before you do anything.
If you join online we will assume that you have read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions of Membership and Privacy Statement. Together they define our expectations of you as a member and our, and your, responsibilities for handling members' personal data.
Some tips about the application form and payment process
- For joint memberships, details of both members must be provided but only one person needs to complete the online form.
- Although it's optional, we do ask that you supply some Emergency Contact information - the name, their relationship to you, a phone number or email address of someone we can contact on your behalf in an emergency. We assume that you have the person's permission to give any data that you do provide.
- If you are a UK taxpayer and would like the u3a to claim Gift Aid on your membership please complete the Gift Aid declaration on the form.
- Fields in bold on the form are mandatory. All other fields are optional.
- The payment process is handled by PayPal but you can use a debit or credit card to pay if you wish. Just enter your email address (needed so that PayPal can send you a receipt) and click on Pay by Debit or Credit Card when you get to the payment screen (see the screenshot).
- Once you have completed the online form and paid you should receive two emails. One from PayPal confirming your payment and another from us welcoming you to the u3a. Our email will have your membership card(s) attached. If you do not receive these two emails please do not try to join again. Instead, contact our Membership Secretary.
